Dual Eligibles

Dual Eligibles refer to those in a Medicare Savings Program who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid because they are receiving their primary coverage through Medicare, but are also getting some form of financial assistance from their state Medicaid program.

People who meet the income limits to receive full Medicaid benefits are:

  • Referred to as Full Benefit Dual Eligibles
  • Sometimes qualified for additional services and benefits for no additional cost through a Part C Medicare Advantage Plan
  • Sometimes able to enjoy added benefits including dental coverage, vision services, hearing services, routine transportation to and from a medical provider, and a credit to order over-the-counter supplies from a catalog

Please note that Dual Eligibles are county specific so contact us if you want to see if you may qualify to receive added benefits without any costs.
